The fourth of this year’s Software Technologies Distinguished Lecture Series at FGCU is Thursday March 29. The subject is "Testing - The Lifeblood of Engineering."

The presenter is Dawid Trawczynski, Senior Firmware Engineer, 3D Diagnostics, Advanced Micro Devices (Orlando).

The program is presented at FGCU, Academic Building 7, Auditorium 114. The program begins with a reception at 6:00 PM; the featured lecture from 6:30-7:30; followed by an hour of “meet and greet” time with the speaker. The lecture is open to the public without charge.

This year's Lecture Series features six presentations, with a balance of focus on business and academic issues. The two remaining lectures are scheduled for April 5 & 12.

The Lecture Series was established three years ago as a strategy to increase the visibility of the growing software development community in Southwest Florida. FGCU recently expanded its IT course offerings to include a degree in software engineering, one of the IT specializations in highest demand.

The series is presented by the FGCU Software Engineering/Computer Science Program in the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering, jointly with the Southwest Florida Technology Partnership. SWFRTP is a non-profit membership organization comprised of technology companies and technology users, economic development groups and higher education institutions united to promote and expand the regional technology sector in Southwest Florida.
