The Java The Hutts FIRST Tech Challenge youth robotics team has returned from an incredibly rewarding experience at the FIRST World Championship. I am sharing their team thank you letter for your support which helped to make the trip and the entire season possible. The team was honored with an award, detailed in the attached letter and media release, which includes photos from their week at the World Championship in Houston, representing our State amongst the best of the best, competing with teams from fifty-eight countries. I hope that you will take a moment to peruse them and take great pride in helping these students pursue this most-prestigious level of competition, but also for truly demonstrating the importance of encouraging our youth to explore STEM careers to support our future workforce needs. These students and those they were competing amongst will truly be prepared to step into the critical roles your companies will need filled in the coming years, possessing that crucial combination of hard skills and technical expertise combined with the soft skills essential for working as a part of team to solve real-world problems on a tight budget and a tighter deadline--after all, that is precisely what they've been doing, as an elective experience through their middle and high school years! The final photo in the media release most clearly shows the team's pit display and sponsor banner where your logo was proudly displayed for fifty-thousand event attendees. Please pass this along to share with your team along with our sincere gratitude.
