Southwest Florida's longest-running, high-profile "Excellence in Technology" event.  

The featured Keynote Speaker for the 2015 event will be David Trimm, Former Chief Information Officer at The Hertz Corporation.

"The Five Technology Trends You Can't Ignore"

David Trimm is the Former Executive Vice President and CIO at Hertz where he was responsible for information technology and business systems globally. Mr. Trimm joined Hertz in 2001 having previously worked for Hilton International as Global Systems Development Director, and having held management positions within Coca Cola, Clarks Shoes, and a brief period with his own company. He has worked in various positions at Hertz including as VP Business Systems for Hertz Europe Ltd, Business Systems Director for Hertz Lease Europe, and as VP for Rent-a-Car IT Systems where he had responsibility for global applications including He also held the position of Senior VP Business Transformation Projects, which included the global redesign of the Hertz brand. He is based in Naples, FL, is a graduate of Imperial College, London with a Masters degree in Engineering, and is an associate of the City of Guilds of London Institute.

The event  features presentation of awards: for Innovention, Transformation Partnership, Women in Technology and Scholarship.

  • The Innovention Award  - for a Southwest Florida company that has invented, improved or demonstrated an innovative and creative technology solution.  Finalists are: Arthrex, MassiveU and SkyLink Data Centers.
  • The Transformation Award - for an organization or business that is achieving success through application or implementation of IT to overcome a business challenge.  Finalists are: Canterbury School, DeAngelis Diamond Construction and Ted Todd Insurance.
  • Woman in Technology Award Recognizes the success and contributions of a woman to the technology industry of Southwest Florida through professional expertise and leadership.  The recipient will exemplify the commitment of the partnership to a vibrant community of technology professionals and opportunity for all.  Finalists are: Jodi Harrison with Interactyx, Tracey Lanham with Hodges University and Denise Spence with Dunbar High School.  
  • Partnership Award goes to someone who has truly forwarded the mission of the organization.  Finalists are: Sheilah Holznagel, Brian Abernathy and Marc Farron.
