The Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership invites area business and technology professionals to join us on Thursday, February 8th, for a meetup and special presentation and Q & A.

Our own Board Member and Treasurer, Kevin Barnhill, will give a teaser presentation on our upcoming RaspberryPi Media Center Class to be offered later this year (time and date TBD).

The class will be for all ages and anyone interested. It was developed by SWFRTP board members and funded by a grant from Gannett.

It will be both a great introduction for those who haven’t seen or used a Pi, and a great way to explore new uses and possibilities for those who have.

Kevin’s teaser presentation will cover the course's highlights:

  • Delivered as an in-person course.
  • Participant’s will be guided in setting up their Pi as basic media center.
  • Camera capabilities and the Pi’s analog and digital input/output.
  • General Internet of Things uses and what other people are doing with Pi’s.

NOTE: The take home Raspberry Pi is for the full class later this year, not this teaser talk.

We're really proud of the course and excited to open up an additional avenue to learn about the Pi, in-person, right here in Southwest Florida.

Thank you to our host location Endeavor Innovative Workspaces.
