Speaker Bio. Boro Petrovic leads creating of the architecture for Oracle HGBU SaaS services in Oracle Cloud. As a member of OPAC (Oracle Product Architecture Community), Mr. Petrovic collaborates with architects of all Oracle products, particularly the Oracle PaaS (Platform as a Service) with components such as IdCS (Identity Cloud Services), CNE (Cloud Native Environment), JCS (Java Cloud Service), DBaaS and others. Before the acquisition of MICROS by Oracle, Boro Petrovic held the position of Chief Technology Officer and was instrumental for defining MICROS hotel systems product strategy. Mr. Petrovic holds a BA degree in Engineering from Belgrade University, Serbia.
Abstract. The lecture will overview general security concepts, first, authentication, authorization, roles, resources, idp-SP integrations, SSO (Single Sign-On), and standards: Oauth and SAML. It will then present Oracle technologies for identity management, explain the provisioning and user lifecycle management using OIM, access management, and Single Sign-On using the OAM, OIF, and OAAM, then overview IDCS (Identity Cloud Services), and explain the access and identity management using the IDCS. Finally, it will discuss a case study of HGBU application secured using Oracle technologies and explain how a cloud-based hotel PMS application is secured using these technologies.
