"Data Security - a critical issue in any industry" – is the subject of a forum presented by the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership in association with the TECH Entrepreneurs of Southwest Florida on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013.
The focus of the event will be to inform attendees of the general threats that exist to data security, both within organizations and from the outside, as well as share best practices for beefing up security and avoiding the threats. Our panelists on this topic are:
Trent Spanos - SecureWorks
Trent Spanos has worked with Dell SecureWorks for over two years. He is a subject matter expert supporting the sales efforts for Dell SecureWorks solutions and developing "net-new" business in the State of Florida. "Cyber Security" Seasoned Sales Technology Professional for ~ 20years. That 20 year period includes successful consultative experience selling information security solutions, managed services, assessments, integration, professional services, technology solutions, datacenter infrastructure, enterprise software, total account ownership roles and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT expertise. Substantial contributions to start-up firms, emerging technology entities and Fortune 500 corporations.
George Faucher – Correlog
George Faucher serves as President of CorreLog Software since 2008. CorreLog is a software vendor that provides enterprise security software for log monitoring and Security Event Management. The software monitors user activity & database access as well as server and file access. Alerting, notification and regulatory compliance is also included in the solution. Prior to that, George was president and CEO of SNMP Frameworks Inc., which designed and marketed an enterprise network management solution called Sentry, which it then sold to Allen Systems Group in 2001. George then worked as SVP for Allen Systems until 2007. George has been a successful entrepreneur in the IT software business for almost 30 years.
Dan Dagnall – Fischer International Identity, LLC
Dan Dagnall is the Chief Technology Strategist at Fischer International Identity with over 15 years of experience in technologies related to identity management & security including compliance, governance, workflow automation, provisioning, role management, federation, single sign on, as well as cloud related technologies.

Michael Lavengood – Chico's FAS, Inc.
Michael Lavengood is the Director of Architecture and Security at Chico's FAS, Inc. with over 10 years experience in security solutions and architecture. He oversees both strategic and tactical design as well as the implementation of the infrastructure and security solutions and processes that supports +1250 stores nationwide. Prior to working at Chico's FAS, Inc. he was the Assistant Director of Technology at Franklin College in Indiana.
